This movie was phenomenal. Colin Farrell definitely delivers. Much like in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ his performance is undoubtedly unique as he portrays the idiosyncrasies and mannerisms of his character so naturally. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh’s portrayal of Tobias and Al make you appreciate the dedication to character that ignites this story and makes each expression of emotion so real. The films incredibly aesthetic cinematography encapsulates the minimalist but quality lifestyle embodied by the two characters that becomes so desirable. The films powerful chemistry becomes the premise of what makes it so capturing bringing a smile to your face without you even realising it.

Every scene and cinematic decision made throughout the film has a powerful contribution to the films journey and character development. Jake Gyllenhaal somehow made a character that deals with something so incomprehensibly heavy relatable and captivating.

Cinematic to a degree that reflects every sense of hardship, struggle, sorrow and wealth each step along the impactful movie’s journey. Acted brilliantly making the viewer forget “it’s just a movie”. The powerful design of each scene and shot sets a tone that is nothing less than breathtakingly immersive. The creative story line and character development that surrounds the ramifications of simply making a “plan” are what completes the films incredible and underlying impact/influence.
