A very sleepy documentary. As a player, Steph is one of the most amazing players to watch. But off the court, he’s not exactly the most memorable personality. This documentary is weighed down by a decided lack of detail or insight into Steph’s career. There’s very little new here that hasn’t already been covered. And it’s not like Steph is entirely forthcoming to the audience as to what he was going through. There is also a weirdly high amount of B-roll or mood shots that serve no real purpose given how light on content this documentary is.

Kareem: Minority of One 2015
Kareem’s career off and on the court could have easily been a miniseries similar to what other NBA legends have received. This 90 minute documentary feels way too truncated.

Anomalisa 2015
A close, critical look at a man going through a midlife crisis. The stop-motion animation and the voice acting really brought the characters to life, although I felt that the animation didn't necessarily feel right (a bit clunky) when it came to the characters running. Otherwise, the realistic approach to the animation served the movie well. I will say that the movie ends a bit more abruptly than expected, but not to the point where it detracts from the rest of the movie.

Big Trouble in Little China 1986
First John Carpenter movie I've watched. Campy and plays into stereotypes, but it's very self aware of it in its writing. Took a bit to get started, but it was thoroughly fun.
