The best movie I've watched inna good while. It combines all elements into what could almost be a symphony. It has light humor, slapstick, action, art and high fashion, and best of all, every line, visual and hint plays into a deeper sub-plot. The movie follows a family, and for once i felt like the main character was finally a middle aged mother, and her struggles to accept reality and her familiar bonds. A classical piece of cinematic art

The Dark Crystal 1982
Another visually stunning film. High fantasy meets a beautiful landscape full of strange beings. The movie can be viewed and enjoyed by all ages with an easy to understand base plot and a happy ending. The puppet gelflings are absolutely gorgeous, and the skeksies delightfully disturbing. I could watch this movie over and over. Perfect for a rainy day

This movie has a special place in my heart. The fact that it is completely made by marionettes is highly impressive. My father worked on the sett and I once visited as a child. This movie is worth watching simply for the concept and the high fantasy feeling. The plot however is pretty standard, at times a tad cliche. But the movie is still a fascinating piece of artwork.
