  Frankenheimer's direction is fairly pedestrian and seems to have been shot on a shoestring budget with few takes, but this is a legitimately good film full of ideas. Not really sure what led to it being a TV movie; maybe they spent the only money they had on the (stacked) cast?

  I really liked elements of this, but I felt the narration was jarring and ultimately at odds with the protagonist's testimony, which on its own would have been compelling enough to elevate this short work.
