Hollywood Theatre is the best for putting on Nosefaratu in 35 mm. I know the film was constructed with a love for that medium, and the movies that were cutting edge during the period of silent cinema took off.

The critique of the struggles women have in a patriarchal society was my favorite part of the film. Both the idealized Barbieworld and the real world portrayed issues in which women have to conform to societal standards that men aren’t subjected to. I also enjoyed the tasteful-cartoonish CGI in Barbie World.
I also feel that Ken’s resolution as a character was not well thought out. The Barbies distracted the Kens with jealousy and in-fighting, while the Barbies legislated “non-patriarchy values”…
I watched this movie projected through 35mm film with a sold out audience, who was completely irreverent, in Portland Oregon. This is the correct way to watch this film.
