Oh... dear god this was a mistake.

Coming from someone who hasn't even touched the games, going into this movie completely blind, I even felt let down. I can't imagine being a "Borderlands" fan and going to see this. I came out of this movie disappointed, but I saw "Borderlands" gamers and fans coming out ready to murder someone. That's how bad this was.

So after my whimsical and somewhat tragic running with a certain baby kestrel earlier on today (see my previous review), I thought I'd give Adam Driver's prehistoric flick from last year a shot. And it was.... watchable. I mean it isn't as bad as people said it was, it was definitely a decent viewing. But there are some issues as well....

Absolutely Brilliant!

Not being the biggest musical fan in the world, there is a LOT of stuff enjoyable about "Oliver!", the musical that takes Dickens' infamous story about child abuse and the criminal side of England, and brings it to a more light hearted environment full of catchy songs, memorable character portrayals and charming visuals.

Absolutely abysmal!

As someone who thinks the first "Home Alone" movie is simply just "a good movie" as supposed to the masterpiece people make it out to be, I still think it's solid enough, little Macaulay Culkin was charming and full of charisma for a lad his age, and the other supporting actors, such as Catherine O'Hara, Joe Pesci and Roberts Blossom were all fantastic, and everyone involved made that film stand out as just a good movie you can…
