Manchester by the Sea 2016
I'm a bona fide sad gal, and with that comes the sad gal media watchlist. So color me surprised when this didn't wreck me how I had anticipated it to from all the recommendations I've gotten.
I guess I like character growth, even on a miniscule level. And this film just didn't seem to focus on that whatsoever from my perspective, so maybe my expectations were skewed from the start.
