got my nephew out of school early to see this so i wouldn’t feel awkward being alone at a kids movie. phenomenal movie. and i hate dreamworks for not giving more stories like this a chance. perfect pallet cleanser after “the substance” and the best animated movie in years. the score is just phenomenal and really elevates the experience. another perfect example proving that animation is the best medium for storytelling.

The Substance 2024
this movie is just….. absurd. but i think i actually maybe liked it? wayyyyyy too over the top. and far too long. could’ve just been a black mirror episode. but so unique and incredibly intriguing. and the production design was fantastic. my first demi moore movie, and she deserves all the recognition that will come her way for this. bad audience in the theater with way too much laughing. and some guy burped? recommending this to my mom.

Jurassic Park 1993
rewatch after finishing the book earlier this week, been almost a decade since i last saw it. i can’t believe there are people out there telling me this movie is bad. it’s not nearly as good as the book imo, but who cares? felt the same excitement and awe on this watch as i did when i was a kid. deserves just 4 stars but i gave it a 4.5 because laura dern is iconic in every scene
