  A heroic story of a man’s battle to survive against all odds! All in all I thought it was a great movie, although there were some times I wished the plot would move along faster. It’s crazy to imagine that only a few hundred years ago life was as crazy as this movie portrays it to be! Definitely worth watching if you like action packed movies about early American history.

  This was a fun movie to watch but admittedly a little dry at times. I am not always the biggest fan of old movies, but this one was a pretty good one. I wish it had been slightly shorty, however, because for the last part of the movie I felt myself starting to lose focus and was ready for it to be done.

  I may need to reconsider my feelings towards older movies. I have always had an aversion to older films, almost seeing them as inferior in light of the newer technologies, and because of my ignorance to some of the really fantastic ones. This movie was a pleasant surprise and genuinely was really fantastic. It had an eerie feeling throughout the whole movie, with some very good acting to go along with it all.
