I’m not trying to Seinfeld here, but this is a movie that REALLY feels too scared of off color jokes now to the extent where crude humor is replaced by sex.
I feel like comedy in film really is a thing of the past.

Infinity Pool 2023
Stunning visuals and glaringly obvious social commentary. Hard not to see yourself in this movie if you have ever been used or beaten down mentally to the point of losing yourself, or simply lost yourself to someone else’s devices. Obviously uncomfortable at times to the point of comedy. Love the practical effects.
NOT better than Possessor while borrowing a lot of it’s tricks, but still great.
I don’t understand why it’s so divisive.

Denis took a super played out “my kids are missing” thriller type movie and made it almost perfect.
Diving into religious troupes without beating them to death or becoming corny, just enough to curate some fucked up vibes.
Unlike his other films, the small details are more spoon fed than usual, but the personification of the maze is one of my personal favorites that invokes self reflection.
Everyone is prey.

Dune: Part Two 2024
This is so much better than the first one it’s not even fucking close, while giving me a new found appreciation for part one.
I wasn’t drinking the kool aid, but now I’m all in.
The Dune trilogy should have this generation’s captivation and wonder just like LOTR did the last.I’m into the lore, politics, scenery, DEPTH, and action.
