Complex, yes, but not too much to spoil my enjoyment. I was able to follow along pretty well on the first viewing and appreciated more of the complexity on the second viewing. Weak on character development but still enjoyable. Battle scene at the end wasn't the best action sequence so it felt a little bit like a let down.
