  As a gay wrestling fan I wanted more from this! It's an interesting tale that kept my attention throughout but the whole time I felt the volume was at a 6 or 7 instead of 9 or 10. The highs were never that highs and none of the predictable lows were very low, then the credits rolled.

  So much was left out, from the framework of the matches to the way the audience went from homophobic rabble to reluctant supporters…

  Nice find! This reminded me of "The Wicker Man" a bit. Small town, mysterious deaths, nobody but one person all that worried about them. Takes a Twilight Zone premise and stretches it out successfully with gory murder scenes that still shock, artistic flares you wouldn't expect in a film like this, and tension that builds slowly and methodically. Jack Albertson (best known as "Grandpa Joe" in "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory") deserves a nod for committing to his creepy coroner role, one of his last before his death.
