I saw this when it first came out, I was 20 years old then. Just rewatched it with my parents, as a 30 year old man. Somehow everytime I watch this film I find something new to think about, and it grieves me and challenges me in a new way. I think seeing Murph cry over her dad leaving hit me in a new way this time. Another thing that hit me was just how significant time is; the 23 years they were on the water planet is my youngest sister’s entire lifespan. Just a beautiful movie that speaks to you no matter your age.
