love the dangdut tiktok references, the "penunggang agama" ustaz, the stuffy religious setting. love the ending especially cuz it's definitely a full-circle moment!! i love how this movie uses the muslim culture of villainizing periods for a conversation on female sexuality and bodily autonomy.
also HATE farah but i can't hate her cuz she is ultimately a product of her community (the judgemental malay muslim community). also love how the bad visual sfx reminds me of Malaysian horror movies! this was definitely a Malaysian movie for Malaysians so it makes sense why non-Malaysians didn't get it
