Alien: Romulus 2024
What some people call “rehashing the past” others may call “utilizing a shared filmic language”. Not a perfect movie, but haven’t seen anything else capture the vibes of Alien since Alien, even if it was only the first half of the movie. I feel like someday (soon) we’ll see that “surprise” “cameo” “performance” used in court for anti-AI legislation so we’ve got that to look forward to. Really a stain on what was otherwise a great time.

I genuinely don’t think I could make a more personal movie for myself than I Saw the TV Glow. This movie reached into my soul and held up my youth in front of my eyes, showing me who I’ve always been.
It’s not too late.
