This movie encapsulated what it felt like living in this era as an Asian kid. It brought me back to the times where I would say and do the craziest things finding myself in the world while also trying to fit in not only within my friend group but also as a son to my mother and a brother to my siblings. This has a touching story and it was worth the watch I would recommend and would watch again.

Not a fan of musicals but this had such an impact on me. This was a story of two friends who are polar opposites but the same. It brings you through the story of Elphaba through the eyes of her friend Glinda. One of my favourite part of the movie is the Ozball scene when Glinda joins on in with Elphaba when she was dancing after being embarrassed and ridiculed by everyone there. That scene touched me so hard the emotions felt through the screen is just unexplained and is only felt through experience. It gives the feeling of belonging.

A movie for it's time this movie brings me back to the days where I would stay up countless hour with a flashlight under the blankets wanting to finish the next chapters before going to bed for sleep. I feel like this is just a movie you need to watch when you need a blast from the past.
