watched this film for my queer film & media class a long time ago and i loved it so much. the way the film captures girlhood and understanding of sexuality is so well done. it also talks about poverty, pressure from parents, societal expectations, etc. it takes on a lot of topics that i related to. it’s also beautiful to see a lesbian love story between two mexican girls as we don’t really see that represented in media.
