The Terrace 2022
Went in having little to no expectations, given how terrible the state of Bengali films has been lately(or the ones I have watched). This one managed to surprise me beautifully. As a Bengali woman, the chhadd holds a special place in our hearts. It is where we gossip, share our clandestine talks without fear of prying eyes, and find a rare space for leisure—something so seldom afforded to women otherwise.ndrani Chakrabarty captures that sentiment beautifully.
p.s: paoli dam looks so damn prettyy (added one more star just for that) :))Translated from by -
Viduthalai: Part II 2024
A fitting conclusion to an amazing political film. Kumaresan's coming-of-age arc from being an honest and devoted police officer to someone who saw through the state mechanism of majoritarian violence and oppression and took a stand—is classic Vetrimaaran-coded. Also loved the Anurag Kashyap cameo.

Viduthalai: Part I 2023
This is how you deliver a great political film—you weave it seamlessly into the plot, craft well-developed characters, and avoid on-the-nose, wordy dialogue. Absolutely loved the film. Can't wait to watch part 2.

dunno should I marvel at the very pertinent themes or be disgusted by the scenes
