  I now feel ashamed that I ever liked this, even as a guilty pleasure. The scene where everyone is calling out Samantha for gaining weight is just shameful. How did that even make the cut? The body-shaming, gross-superficiality, melodramatics and wrong-footed messages of empowerment left me feeling so mad. I know it’s Sex and The City, but I used to find this kind of thing exciting/entertaining and now I feel sorry for my younger self and anyone else who buys into this sh*t
