The Good, the Bad and the Ugly takes everything the first two Dollar Trilogy films built and blows it wide open. As Tarantino once said, it takes the whole concept to a “new and bigger canvas,” and he’s absolutely right. The stakes are way higher—now it’s not just about bounty hunting or gold, it’s set against the chaos of the Civil War.

Clint Eastwood’s Blondie, Lee Van Cleef’s cold and calculated Angel Eyes, and Eli Wallach’s unforgettable Tuco make up…

Watching it now, some parts feel a little dated. The special effects, while groundbreaking for their time, don’t hold up as well, and some of the dialogue feels a bit stiff. The pacing also drags in places, especially compared to modern action films.

Still, it’s a must-watch for sci-fi fans, even if it’s not perfect. The real magic of The Terminator is in its legacy—it laid the foundation for the incredible T2: Judgment Day and changed the sci-fi genre forever.

Final Verdict: 3/5. A solid, influential thriller that’s still fun but doesn’t hit as hard as it once did.

Known for taking risks with unconventional storytelling, A24 proves once again that they can elevate the horror genre beyond typical scares, focusing on atmosphere, dread, and deeper psychological layers. Set in 17th-century New England, it nails the bleakness and paranoia of a super religious family living out in the middle of nowhere. The old-timey language makes it feel all the more real.

The visuals are creepy and the music is unsettling, giving the whole film a haunting vibe. Anya Taylor-Joy and the rest of the cast do a fantastic job. If you’re into psychological horror, this is definitely one to check out. A solid 3.5/5.
