  Good gore effects. When Frank (Sean Chapman) comes back the effects are incredible. The box effects on the other hand not so much. They look like they’re out of a Disney Channel movie from 40 years ago. The characters are okay. Kirsty (Ashley Laurence) was an okay lead.   Another great Rob Reiner Stephen King adaptation. Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) was fantastic, she definitely deserved her Oscar. Paul Sheldon (James Caan) was also great. You felt his terror and desperation. On the whole it’s a great movie. 8.5/10 (4.25/5)

  Now this is a movie! I loved this! Not only is it a good horror movie, it's freaking hilarious. Herbert West (Jeffery Combs) was a blast, his comedic timing was beautiful. He followed the straight man archetype and executed it wonderfully with his shovel. Dr. Hill (David Gale) was also so fun to watch. His over the top performance was a joy.   Good but another horror movie that I don’t find scary. Despite that, it's good. Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen) despite being an idiot (which pretty much every character is) was pretty good.
