it's a very simple storyline, one that we've probably seen before from many different Asian family films. but the sincerity in the treatment of the story delivered a powerful performance that reminded every audience feeling like they need to treat their grandparents well again. its a universal story that reflects the dynamics of families in modern society, and that universal story becomes relatable and got me bawling for half the film and more after that.
all in all, i simply loved the film!

Raw, emotional, and real. The film gently addresses the concept of death and reflects the chilling realities of old age. The still narrative gives a sense of realism and everydayness which drew me in deeply before I even knew it. I also felt the connection and disconnection between the characters and society at large.
