Whilst it was a good callback to the prequel, the scenes lacked impact and individuality. There was a large use of “Born Slippy” throughout, with the sole purpose of relying on the original for the best scenes throughout. Whilst an okay film, it merely a tribute of sorts to the original and fails to encapsulate the same essence the first does so brilliantly. It would be a very ordinary film without watching the original.
