Character development was great…until you realise all of it was fake. Too many upside down shots and too many hallucinations, it just stops advancing the plot and all you learn is that Skyes becoming detached from reality, which we knew anyway.
Personally thought gore was overdone-a lot of it redundant and contrived eg. The ER Nurse’s brother’s death-why. I do like the sense that the director is trying to get us to feel the level of trauma that Skye experienced-by showing the gruesome details of each death, I guess we’ve become privy to the curse.
