    The joy of learning about different filmmakers is that sometimes you find their shorts on YouTube! Wow what a cool thing you think to yourself. And then you turn it on and it’s real bad. 

    I don’t know what to make of this but I’m glad I watched it.

    My very limited time with Steven Soderbergh's work has had some highs and lows. I admit I have yet to see his most notable movies (blu rays just arrived in the mail this afternoon) but because of that I was very excited to see Black Bag.

    Don’t read anything. Don’t look at reviews. Just go see this in a theater as quickly as possible. 

    Completely spoiler free: 

    I thought this was very neat. It’s not what you think. It’s my favorite kind of horror film in that it has something relevant and legitimate to say about our society. Also, it’s creepy as hell. 

    This film loses a lot of steam towards the end but my god for 3/4th’s this is pretty damn good and certainly worth watching. 

    Do yourself a favor and give this one a shot.

    Not that I'm a seasoned vet at this movie thing, because I'm not. But there feels like moments where director establishes themselves in a way we haven't see before.

    For Nolan I think we all knew like him or hate him he was a gifted filmmaker. Sure his films aren't always perfect but nonetheless he has shown time and time again that his films and his stories are a draw.

    With Oppenheimer though this feels like that really cements him…
