So nice how few characters and locations exist in this movie and how good the conversations are. I felt part pf the courtroom and I was definitely judging her too!
I loved how satirical The Lobster and Killing of a Sacred Deer were but they were also pretty heavy on their nihilism. And this bothered me a bit. I think this started to change in The Favorite and finally felt like a real evolution with Poor Things. It’s a beautiful movie, great cinematography, costumes, type design, soundtrack... Not a good movie to watch right before you sleep. The airplane crash at the beginning will be forever ingrained in me. Bones breaking and people being smashed by seats. Lovely.
