masterfully unsettling film with lots of thematic layers under a plot that transcends linearity. i saw more of an anti-war sentiment that the film was trying to depict as the plot was shelled within the inhumanity of US military imperialism (jacob having an increasingly difficult time readjusting into society after the war and being secretly dosed with experimental drugs while not being able to get adequate help). i also love how the DMT-esque trip the film takes place during is…
