To Catch a Killer 2023
with one of the most impressive opening sequences i’ve seen this year, to catch a killer is an excellent thriller. what it lacks in depth it makes up for in how compelling it is. its pacing is just perfect, being quick and efficient when it matters, yet also giving the story some room to breathe. there’s some great performances here. shailene woodley and ben mendelsohn’s chemistry is engaging from the start. some of its creative choices are questionable, and its writing isn’t always great, but it’s well worth a watch.
