Funny, clever but a tad overlong. The buildup to the finale goes on a bit. And there are a couple of unanswered questions. But it's well paced, well acted, occasional amazing cinematography and highly entertaining.

Are we about to get a load of films with villainous leaders bearing a strong resemblance to Donald Trump?

I'd have liked it more if it was the same genre for more than five minutes. Romance, thriller, action, sci-fi, horror. All the time being fairly predictable and with shocking CGI/green screen effects. And that's before the really clunky exposition. The budget went on the cast and not the script or the effects.

Artist discovers cache of old love letters and makes an album.

Some of the letters are great and having them read out by performers like Richard Ayoade and Nick Cave is great. Then hearing them sung makes for a lot of repetition.

Not a long film but it felt it. The Q&A afterwards helped a lot, pity not everyone will have that experience. With an audience half full of cast and crew it felt a little like being at a cool party but not really knowing anyone.

As such it’s about 2/3 complete with a lot of bits varying from basic sketches to outline animation as well as the completed parts which are usually the most entertaining.

First off, it’s hilarious and it’s the Thief’s film. While the cobbler is the good guy, the thief is the clown. We may not…
