Better Man 2024
Enjoyed the parts that felt like a Take That musical. Felt a bit sob story-esque though and like fair enough, but also those parts felt super long. Monkey animation was decent and I feel for the editors who had to work with the real life lens flares constantly.

I should start by saying I’m not a musical girly (excluding Mamma Mia and maybe also La La Land) so I was always going to be starting on the back foot. And if anything, the relentless and bizarre campaigning for this movie made me less likely to watch it which is a shame because it was good! The memes were good too. Cynthia’s voice is lovely. Pacing felt a bit weird. Huge fan of goat professor. Also a fan of green and pink colour combos generally.

I’m not a spooky/tense film girly because I have the nerve of a tiny little mouse HOWEVER I really enjoyed this movie! Casting and acting 10/10, cinematography was cool af and I liked the use of black and white. Felt very validated that my friends also found it scary.
