This must have been how the magician felt watching me and earl and the dying girl. A very solid flick for sure. I think my biggest issue with it by far is Andrew Garfield's character. He does an amazing job in the role but his character has virtually no substance to it at all. Pugh's character (who is a great character and very well portrayed) definitely drives the story. I guess I would have just liked to see his flushed out a little more. Best scene by far is the child birth

After just watching one of my favorite endings in Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, I watched possibly one of my least favorite endings of all time. This just absolutely did not need to be made. The thing that made the previous 3 so great was that it was awesome to watch the apes develop and evolve as a whole. Not to mention Caesar is one of the best protagonists ever. Now this one doesn't have him and really did not add to the story line at all in my opinion. Honestly just felt like it was a step backwards and the most throw away plot ever.…
