It’s been beautifully made, but it’s all a little too perfect. It really misses the charm of the old Wonka movies, even though the visuals are great. Just like the autotune in de voices, the whole movie just seems a little over-polished. The storyline was fine, but not very exciting and quite predictable, with a lot of moral lessons to be learned to not give in to gluttony or greed. Overall a nice enjoyable movie, but not a masterpiece.

Goed verhaal met diepgaande karakters. Hoewel coriolanus langzamerhand steeds geniepiger en slinkser wordt, blijft hij toch een charme houden. En lucy gray is een hoofdpersoon die niet direct je hart steelt, maar je langzaam overwint door haar intrigerende keuzes en bijzondere manier van omgaan met tegenslagen. De nummers in de film zijn erg mooi, net als je begeleidende muziek.
