Wasn't expecting that one of the most emotional court dramas I'll ever see would be French. It's a look into relationships and life through the tools of prosecution, 'Anatomy of A Fall' is the most unique take on a failing marriage.
If 'Perfects Days' is the city life ASMR of Japan, 'Evil Does Not Exist' is its countryside alternative. The world, characters, and life in this movie are so beautiful and mesmerizing, that you almost get annoyed when the plot comes into play, you just want them to keep chopping wood and fill their cans with river water forever.
The truest and rawest depiction of the Indian male angst. This is the angry young man of India in the 21st century, scared, violent, and confused like a wet animal suffering from PTSD who doesn't even know what the trauma was. It is a fire coming from the inside being extinguished by powerful synthetic pacifiers that are just catalysts for more angst. Surprisingly, not as dark as Kanu Behl's previous film, the film is quite accessible, filled with jokes and great performances that keep you entertained. Did not expect to be left with so much warmth at the end.
