It's been an insane year and I've basically only watched one "awards season" movie, and I'm really glad it's this one. Serious, smart and wildly compelling film for adults. The kind of film they don't make much anymore because they try to turn it into a 10 episode HBO mini-series...but it works perfectly, sharply as it is. The cast is immaculate. Somehow has such real "weight" and intention to it that it has escaped most potential socio-political controversy for its ending.

The premise is fantastic, a cross of SUCCESSION with interwoven, modernized elements of Edgar Allen Poe stories and poems. The actual product is basically lowbrow trash.  Entertaining at least, solid to have in the background if you’re avoiding succumbing to the likes of Love is Blind

It has the energy of a thriller, the production and sound design of a blockbuster…
