  I loved how this movie captured prejudice and reasonable doubt. I loved how theatrical yet ultimately reasonable this felt. The cinematography was great, the acting was wonderful, the story was Divine. Everything fitted so snug together and worked as a piece of the machine that is this movie

  This movie made no sense at all. I have no idea what the message should be. I also heavily dislike the way being gay is used here, it is heavily stereotypes and above all, its used. The queerness of the main character is more a way for him to get into new plothooks and to get alibis than it is just who he is.

  Julie Zwijgt is een prachtige film over coach-sporter verhoudingen en over hoe moeilijk het is om iemand los te laten die je zo vertrouwd. Ik dacht dat deze film 2,5 uur zou duren (dat is helemaal niet de runtime, ik zal wel hallucineren) en was bang dat ie veel te lang was, dus ik was positief verast toen het einde op het perfecte moment kwam.

  Mielants gives up on a traditional story to open up a wealth of uncomfort, which is transferred through the screen impeccably. The slow silence and darkness of this film becomes almost comforting. Only for the bitterness to hit you even harder. Cillian Murphy manages to transfer a sweetness throughout this story that touched me deeply.
