  bit of a movie slump, this was something simple my mom threw on for background while home. cute but nothing revolutionary. it seems Louisa May Alcott enjoys rewriting the same slightly tweaked plot points 

  fanciful eldest daughter who’s a writer
  kind well off childhood friend turned lover
  jealous younger sister who had to be responsible
  rich distant female relative who sweeps them abroad

  incredibly ridiculous but kept pace and a hot cast helped maintain my attention

  solid movie. horrible. gruesome. stomach churning. despicable. but beautifully done. paul dano has such soft eyes and such a soft voice. I would let jay berate me for contributing to the meat industry’s atrocities. probably also go vegan if jay asked me.

  “don’t look back. just look at me.” no worries there I’ve only got eyes for you <3 they set up the ALF so well I wish they could’ve had more time or like made a follow up film focused on them. missed opportunity.
