The Color Purple 2023
Cried 6 times (all in the second half. First half was a little slow).
An empowering, absolutely stunning film. Will be listening to the soundtrack again, for sure. Came into the movie feeling really depressed, left feeling inspired and connected to my higher self. (Unlike the original 1985 film, which felt opposite.)
