The Exorcist 1973
The Exorcist works really well in parts, mainly when it comes to showing the child's possession from the mother's perspective. A mother having to come to terms with the fact that her child is possessed by the devil is where most of the horror of this movie works. The possessed child and her few interactions with the mother were the heart of the movie. Too bad the third act decides to abandon the mom's character altogether and focus on the weird fucking priest (who doesn't even perform the exorcism).
