Of course the depiction of these parades should only be recognized as one aspect of the gay/identity politics of the late 70’s – the very romantic and idealized one. Nevertheless I cannot believe how much vitality it contained. So many beautiful people coming together in this film expressing very simple and somehow unspoiled thoughts on individual freedom and togetherness. Watching this while in lockdown is something else... Ready to bring this energy out with me when the world reopens! <3
