Documentaries like these makes me so fortunate to be hispanic in this day and age. This community just stays winning. I’ve always had a lot of admiration and respect for her and her music but this watch amped it up by a lot. She went through so much as a child to get where she is today and it’s impressive, I cried a little bit. The shots, her backstory, the transitions, the flashbacks ugh SHES PERFECT!! WOW. I LOVE LESBIANS!!! I watched it with my mom so I couldn’t have my i love lesbian moment, but OMG. The cinematography, the octopus, the forbidden love trope (one of my favorite tropes) this is everything. I’m glad Elisa finally got her horse at the end, and this is living proof that you should move mountains for love. I felt bad at the end tho, when the daughter asked if it was worth abandoning her.
