I'm a sucker for a vampire movie. This movie centres around travelling on a ship from Romania to London. It tells the well-known tale depicted in Bram Stoker's Dracula and a similar one involving a ship from the BBC TV series Dracula. Straight off the back, this movie shows a terrific way of using a camera to set the scene with it going off if you walk past. It's used later in the movie to establish context and jumpscares. The first female character is renovating her new house, and the male character is a doctor in a psychiatric ward. So you already know he won't believe supernatural events at the beginning! I especially like how close-up shots and slow-motion effects are used.
