Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem 2003
God I love it when a movie doesn't try to justify itself and just does what it wants. Been a long time fan of Daft Punk, so getting the chance to see a limited in cinema run was a delight. I deeply appreciated that without any dialogue and minimal sound outside of the album it's set to, Interstella managed to both tell a story and clearly have something to say about the nature of record labels and the music industry. The story and animation is so clearly a product of the era this was made in, but I think that's part of the charm.
