  Gavin will hate me for this but this movie was OK at best. Definitely not Jake’s best work and it was just really freaking weird. Which is part of the course for Jake Gyllenhaal but wow. The kid character was something else and then it just didn’t really resolute in the end. And not every movie needs a resolution or finality about it, but this one left no string tied at all. It was OK.

  I don’t understand why this movie was given such bad reviews in all honestly. Was it the perfect film? No. But was it an abomination? Absolutely not. I think the main flaws of the film were the last third did fell a little rushed, and the fact that Mark Ruffalo tried his damndest to imitate what he believes Trump acts like. But didn’t do a very good job. Probably since the director didn’t want him to be political. Outside of that, it really was a good film. Entertaining, well-scripted, odd in good ways.

  Good concept but it drags a little in the beginning. Not necessarily boring but more just wondering why some of the scenes are necessary to the movie (because some of them weren’t). Haven’t seen a trigger warning on a movie since The Incredibles 2 for seizures because of flashing lights.
