"fun, fun, fun..." This line, it's delivery, and the following scene it's referencing perfectly summarize the entirety of this movie. A mandatory office costume party for most Parker Posey fans. And to give her credit, Parker Posey is really Parker Poseying the hell out of this role, but even she could not save this movie from being so utterly boring and pointless. Most of my family is from Sugar Grove and I spent most of my childhood there. So, I'm going to make a list of everything that this movie gets wrong about the location:
1. I've never seen a reporter from Richmond ever show up to Sugar Grove to report on anything. Any reporters would most likely be from Bristol or at the very farthest Roanoke. Also, the temperatures at the bottom of the news screen are in Celsius...

The fact that Hallmark has gay movies that actually feel gay with attractive gay actors who some gay people actually know makes me really happy. The moments where Sam is trying to figure out if Jason is gay and a lot of the other small details make this movie feel authentic and sweet when it could have felt stereotypical and meanspirited. I'm really glad this exists.
