The premise of the film is a straightforward allegory and then it takes it in a very smart direction. I think that the highlights of the film are the scene at the dinner table and the final scene between Iris & Josh. There's so much good stuff there. Lukas Gage's character feels superfluous - I don't see what he adds to the message of the film and his roles in the plot could have been replaced with other characters in straightfoward…

A story about the way that society assigns blame for abuse. Why do we ignore abuse carried out by powerful people? Why does society sometime blame the victim?
Unsure about the choices made in this film. I felt some of the grotesqueries subtracted from the storytelling.
