Poor Things 2023
This frankenstein-type movie does a great job at deconstructing our societal norms and morals by using a child's gaze to reveal their ridiculousness. Child-like wonder being slowly driven out of Bella by the harsh reality of the world is a story most of us are all too familiar with. However, if you were to watch this movie hoping for an empowering and feminist narrative, you will be utterly disappointed by this movie that seems more concerned (almost obsessed) with the sexual evolution of a chactacter meant to depict a CHILD. Overall a good movie that will make you question what you take for granted.
