    Flatliners

    The ideas are nicely enough sketched and the high concept is fairly engaging in and of itself, but it feels like Schumacher only had a handful of good ideas and tried to stretch those to their inevitable breaking point. Feels like a very shallow exercise on trauma therapy between the characters with a formal scheme that you can kinda tell it's trying really hard to reach for tension/pathos/emotion etc., but to me nothing really clicked beyond it's initial conceptions, draging out a bunch of nothing images to an innocuous implosion.
