I can’t think of any other movie that evoked such a strong, visceral feeling that almost made me nauseous. This movie shows exactly what it’s like dealing with depression — the anhedonia, catatonia, all the ‘ugly’ side effects. it was so personal that I cried at the ending. Some scenes were a bit too intense, to the point where I had to take breaks.

This is my first Bong Joon Ho movie. My friend had told me about the black comedy and tone shifts, which I found charming. Robert Pattinson is such a phenomenal actor.. seriously. The casting was great, but his performance as Mickey was natural.
I liked the satirical nature of the movie, and how the consequences of capitalism (literally giving up your dignity and dying for it) were presented.. although I felt like the exposition was kind of drawn out.
