  This film is obviously meant to be some kind of a political satire piece, probably an analogy for the climate change debate and todays (american) political climate featuring Trump, Alex Jones and the rest. It is probably possible to create a good political satire film featuring the subjects in question but this is not it. This movie has absolutely no subtlety, every satirical reference feels like its plastered with a "laugh now" sign and all jokes fall flat. To add to this the movie can never decide if it's "believable sci-fi" or "comically unrealistic".
