in the first and second parts of the film, we got to know Ani as two completely different people. the longer i watched, the more alienated i became from the character, as i didn’t see an emotionally understandable transition between the two states. the buildup of shock and anger made sense for a while, but by the last few scenes of the film, i lost track of things. Mikey Madison played the role wonderfully, but the character simply wasn’t realistic.
